Quotes for the Past, and for the Future

"Some people feel like they don't deserve love. They walk away quietly into empty spaces, trying to close the gaps of the past."

"It should not be denied that being footloose has always exhilarated us. It is associated in our minds with escape from history and oppression and law and irksome obligations. Absolute freedom. And the road has always led west."

The Scorpion and the Frog

"A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back. The frog asks, 'How do I know you won't sting me?' The scorpion says, 'Because if I do, we'll both drown and I will die too.'

The frog is satisfied with this logic, and they set out across the stream, but in midstream, the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of
paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown, but has just enough time to gasp 'Why?'

The scorpion replies: 'Its my nature...'"
